What a day! The Mooroolbark Community Garden Market really gave us all the seasons in one go - classic Melbourne, right? It started off so calm and dry, with that perfect “market morning” vibe, but by the afternoon... let’s just say we were all one soggy mess! 😂
Despite the downpour, we had such a great time (as always). This was only our second time attending the market, and it’s already become one of our favourite events each month. There’s just something special about the atmosphere - friendly faces, local makers, and that cozy community spirit that makes it all worthwhile (even in the rain!). Oh, and we can’t forget to mention the best sausage sizzle in town - seriously, worth braving the weather for! 🌭
Packing up, however... that was an adventure in itself! Our marquee decided it had enough of the weather and started sagging under the weight of all the rainwater. Cue us pushing up from underneath to dump the water over the edge = instant marquee waterfall! 💦 Everyone nearby got a laugh (and maybe a light sprinkle). Let’s just say we learned that next time, a towel or two might be a smart addition to the packing list!
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our stall - rain, shine, or splash zone! Your support & smiles mean so much to us. We can’t wait to do it all again next month (hopefully under sunnier skies 🤞).
Until then, stay dry, stay cozy, and we’ll see you (and that legendary sausage sizzle) at the next Mooroolbark Community Garden Market! ☔🌭
